Entertainment The Labour Party said it had engaged the services of at least 20 Senior advocates of Nigeria to challenge the outcome of the 25th February Presidential election on behalf of its candidate , Peter Obi . According to reports , the Lawyers were drawn from different Chambers and they have been handed the materials that would be used as an evidence in the Court . The President elect and the candidate of All Progressive Congress ( APC ) Bola Ahmed Tinubu , was decared the winner of the election on wednesday , 25th Feb. 2023 . According to the INEC Chairman , Mamood Yakubu , Tinubu Pulled 8,794726 Votes to defeat the People Democratic Party Candidate , Atiku Abubakar and Labour party candidate , Peter Obi who got , 6,984,520 and 6,101,533 Votes respectively . The outcome of the Presidential election was highly rejected by the Labour party Candidate , Peter Obi and The people Democratic party Candidate , Alhaji Atiku Abubakar , both parties claimed that the election was highly and massively rigged . Following the conduct of the Presidential election , at least six States namely -Adamawa , Akwa Ibom , Bayelsa , Delta, Edo , and Sokoto had dragged the Federal Government to Court for his failure to keep to his promises before the election , earlier on the Nigerian President , Muhammadu Buhari promised that the 2023 Election would be free & fair .
